  44. I've occasionally thought about going in and making the improvements
  45. myself, but the main thing that has held me back is that I have access
  46. to only a few RSX11M and 11M+ versions, none of which is particularly
  47. recent, so it'd be difficult for me to build any binaries which I could
  48. guarantee to work on other systems.  At one
  49. time wasn't there a IAS binary available, too?

  51. Another obstacle for me is that I know that I'd never do as good a job
  52. as Billy Yodelman's been doing in maintaining and upgrading KRT for
  53. RT-11 and (now) RSTS.

  55. Johnny Billquist has made important patches to the RSX version of
  56. K11, and the source code patches are available by anonymous ftp
  57. from ftp.update.uu.se in /pub/pdp11.  I don't know if he has any
  58. binaries available for ftp.

  60. The most common request I receive for RSX Kermit is for a version that
  61. runs on RSX-11M V3.0 or thereabouts.  It seems that all of the existing
  62. K11 RSX implementations depend on features that came out about the time
  63. of RSX-11M V4.0.
